First, the artist sketches the subject on paper. This step is purposefully loose, focusing on shape-language and gesture: How far can the subject be abstracted while remaining recognizable?

• Next, the artist scans the sketch and begins to paint the rest of the piece digitally.
• Using the sketch as a guide, the artist layers polygonal shapes in black and white to build the piece up, working from front to back. 

• Finishing touches are made to the piece, ensuring the subject's likeness wasn’t lost in the process. 
• The file is then exported for printing on museum quality canvas. We make sure the proper steps are taken, so that when printed, the piece looks striking, exhibiting the richest colors, the boldest blacks and the brightest whites.
